School Uniform Policy

We’re proud of our school uniform. It gives our children a sense of belonging and identity as part of the Heber community and the values we share.

Uniform List

White Heber polo shirt/plain white shirt

Navy Heber sweat shirt or cardigan

Grey, navy or black trousers, skirt, dresses or shorts

Plain dark or white socks/tights

School uniform is compulsory. The only jewellery/accessory that children are permitted to wear are plain stud earrings and watches. 'Smart' watches, which are linked to a phone and/or can take photos are not permitted.

Branded items can be bought via ParentPay, our secure online payment system, and can be collected from the School Office.

Second-hand School Uniform

Second-hand school uniform is available from Heber's Family & Friends. These items are heavily subsidised and can be bought by emailing: Heberpandf@gmail.com Good condition school uniform can be donated to the P&F using the donation box located in the foyer of the main school entrance. 

Halo Hair Code

We are proud to have adopted the Halo Hair Code as part of our School Uniform. Our school champions the right of staff and students to embrace all Afro-hairstyles. We acknowledge that Afro-textured hair is an important part of our Black staff and students’ racial, ethnic, cultural, and religious identities, and requires specific styling for hair health and maintenance.

●We welcome Afro-textured hair worn in all styles including, but not limited to, afros, locs, twists, braids, cornrows, fades, hair straightened through the application of heat or chemicals, weaves, wigs, headscarves, and wraps.

● At this school, we recognise and celebrate our staff and students’ identities. We are a community built on an ethos of equality and respect where hair texture and style have no bearing on anyone’s ability to succeed.

Please note:
● That head wraps and scarves should reflect our school colours.
● That hair may need to be tied up for health and safety reasons, for example during PE sessions.

Lost Property

Please label all of you child’s belongings. Lost property quickly builds up in school and we are able to return it to the rightful owner promptly when it is clearly labelled.
