We welcome children to our Nursery in the academic year during which they turn 4. For September 2019 admissions, we will be welcoming children born between 1st September 2015 and 31st August 2016.
Most children start in the Nursery in the main intake point in September. There is a second intake point in January dependent on capacity in the Nursery. On occasion and subject to availability, we can welcome younger children to our Nursery at this point if they have turned 3 during the previous Autumn Term.
If you would like to apply for a place in our Nursery for your child, please complete a registration form. You can download the form here or call into the school office to pick up a hard copy.
Applications for entry in September 2019 must be submitted by Thursday 28th March 2019. We will review the applications and make initial offers by Monday 22nd April.
We are able to offer 15 free hours childcare per child. Subject to demand this can be a morning or afternoon place, or a place for Monday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Friday.
We also offer full time places (9.00am – 3.30pm).
The cost of the extra 17.5 hours is currently £350 per month for 10 months of the year. If you are interested in a full-time place, please indicate this on your registration form or contact the school office for more information. Please note that fees for 2018-2019 are likely to be subject to an inflationary increase which will be confirmed in the Summer Term.
For families who are eligible for the 30 hours of government funded child care, we are proud to be supporting this initiative. Please check your eligibility using the link below:
Please also indicate this on your registration form.
We welcome children to our Reception year in September. Your child would attend Reception in the academic year he or she turns 5. The process is managed by Southwark Council and applications must be made through the council.
Applications should be made by the January prior to the next September intake. The deadline for September 2018 admissions has now passed, and families will receive notification of the outcome of their application in April direct from the Local Authority.

To join the school in other year groups, for example if your child is switching schools or you have just moved into the area, you should also apply directly to the Local Authority. However, please feel free to contact us to arrange a tour of the school and to discuss possible vacancies in other year groups, and we will be more than happy to help.
We welcome any families who are interested in sending their child to Heber School to come for a tour of the school. Please contact the school office to arrange a date with us.
