Year 2 took to the woods at Crystal Palace Park to learn about sound and music this half term. Our mobile forest school took us to an enclosure where, as a class, we learned about sound waves and frequency using ropes, water, strings and cans. We explored the natural sounds of the woods and the man-made sounds, describing their characteristics. To finish off, we made bands and played rhythms and patterns using the objects we could find in the forest. Thanks to Hugh for teaching us, and to the parents for making our day more enjoyable!
