The school

Heber Primary School is a beautiful Victorian red brick building which sits at the heart of the ladder of Victorian houses which make up the east side of Lordship Lane in East Dulwich. Situated in a quiet road in East Dulwich, we are within walking distance of Dulwich Park and Dulwich Picture Gallery and a bus ride away from Tate Modern, The Globe Theatre and the Southbank.

The school was built in 1882 and comprises 16 classrooms and three halls, including large main assembly hall in the heart of the school which fills with natural light and doubles as our lunch hall. Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard and multimedia capabilities including fast broadband links.

The Lordship Lane playground to the west side of the school has undergone a major refurbishment over the past two years. It now features a climbing wall, sheltered stage area, colourful murals designed by the children together with a small wooded area, and drinking fountains.
